Analyze your sales team's productivity

Analyze your sales team productivity in the analytics tools to track your team's performance by their deals, meetings, calls, tasks, and emails. You can also consider using the default productivity report in your sales dashboard.

  • In your HubSpot account, navigate to Reports > Analytics Tools.
  • Click Sales Team Productivity.
  • Use the Date range and Frequency dropdown menus to filter the data to a specific time range.
    • This will filter the data in any tab you're in.
    • A week in the report starts on Sunday by default, when the date range selected consists of a week, or when the frequency is set to Weekly.

Analyze your sales team's deals

You can analyze your sales team's productivity by the deals they've worked in a certain date range.

  • By default, Owner will be selected and your deal data will be segmented by your HubSpot users. To view your deal data based on the HubSpot team, select Team.
  • By default, the chart will show your deal data Over time. You can click the dropdown menu and select Summary to view the data by owner or team.
  • Click the Currency dropdown menu and select the currency you want the chart and table to be in.
  • Click the Pipeline dropdown menu and select a pipeline you want to limit the deals data to.

Deals chart

The chart shows the deal data based on a metric in the date range you've selected.

  • In the upper left of the chart, click the dropdown menu and select the metric you want to view in the chart. By default, Count of deals will be selected. You can select:
    • Count of deals
    • Forecast amount
    • Closed amount
    • Average number of sales activities
    • Average days to close
    • Amount
  • In the upper right of the chart, select the Split by won and lost checkbox to split the data in the chart into WonOpen, and Lost categories.
  • In the upper right of the chart, click the Style dropdown menu and select the type of chart you want to use for analysis. You can select an area chart, column, line, or a combination of an area and line chart to visualize the data.

Deals table

The table shows you the deal data per team or owner, for each metric.

  • To customize the metrics that appear in the table:
    • In the upper right of the table, click Edit columns.
    • In the dialog box, select the checkbox for each metric you want to display.
    • Click the X next to a property in the Selected columns section to remove it from the table.
    • Click Save to apply these changes.
  • Click a column header to sort the owners or teams by that metric.
  • Click the value in the Count of deals column to view the deals in the right panel.
    • Click the deal name to access the deal record.
    • Click Go to Deals in the right panel to view all the deals in a saved filter.

Analyze your sales team's meetings

You can analyze your sales team's productivity by the meetings they had in a certain date range. By default, Owner will be selected and your meeting data will be segmented by your HubSpot users.

  • If Owner is selected, click the Team dropdown menu and select a team to filter the data to.
  • To view your meeting data based on the HubSpot team, select Team.
  • To view your meeting data based on their types, select Meeting type.

Meetings chart

The chart shows the meetings data based on a metric in the date range you've selected. In the upper right of the chart, click the Style dropdown menu and select the type of chart you want to use for analysis. You can select an area chart, column, line, or a combination of an area and line chart to visualize the data.

Meetings table

The table shows you the meeting data per team or owner, for each metric.

  • Click a column header to sort the owners or teams by the count of activities.
  • Click the value to view the meetings in the right panel. You can click the activity in the right panel to access the associated record.
  • To view only certain owner's or team's activities in the chart, select the checkbox next to the owner or team. You can select multiple owners or teams to compare their impact.
  • When viewing team metrics, click a team to view a breakdown of the users in that team.

Analyze your sales team's calls

You can analyze your sales team's productivity by the calls they had in a certain date range. By default, Owner will be selected and your call data will be segmented by your HubSpot users.

  • If Owner is selected, click the Team dropdown menu and select a team to filter the data to.
  • To view your call data based on the HubSpot team, select Team.
  • To view your call data based on their types, select Call type.
  • To view your call data based on their outcome, select Call outcome.

Calls chart

The chart shows the call data based on a metric in the date range you've selected. In the upper right of the chart, click the Style dropdown menu and select the type of chart you want to use for analysis. You can select an area chart, column, line, or a combination of an area and line chart to visualize the data.

Calls table

The table shows you the call data per team or owner, for each metric.

  • Click a column header to sort the owners or teams by the count of activities.
  • Click the value to view the call activities in the right panel. You can click the activity in the right panel to access the associated record.
  • To view only certain owner's or team's activities in the chart, select the checkbox next to the owner or team. You can select multiple owners or teams to compare their impact.
  • When viewing team metrics, click a team to view a breakdown of the users in that team.

Analyze your sales team's tasks

You can analyze your sales team's productivity by the tasks they had in a certain date range. By default, Owner will be selected and your task data will be segmented by your HubSpot users.

  • If Owner is selected, click the Team dropdown menu and select a team to filter the data to.
  • To view your task data based on the HubSpot team, select Team.

Tasks chart

The chart shows the task data based on a metric in the date range you've selected. In the upper right of the chart, click the Style dropdown menu and select the type of chart you want to use for analysis. You can select an area chart, column, line, or a combination of an area and line chart to visualize the data.

The table shows you the task data per team or owner, for each metric.

  • Click a column header to sort the owners or teams by the count of activities.
  • Click the value to view the tasks in the right panel. You can click the task in the right panel to access the associated record.
  • To view only certain owner's or team's activities in the chart, select the checkbox next to the owner or team. You can select multiple owners or teams to compare their impact.
  • When viewing team metrics, click a team to view a breakdown of the users in that team.

Analyze your sales team's emails

You can analyze your sales team's productivity by the emails they sent in a certain date range. By default, Owner will be selected and your email data will be segmented by your HubSpot users.

  • If Owner is selected, click the Team dropdown menu and select a team to filter the data to.
  • To view your email data based on the HubSpot team, select Team.

Emails chart

The chart shows the email data based on a metric in the date range you've selected. In the upper right of the chart, click the Style dropdown menu and select the type of chart you want to use for analysis. You can select an area chart, column, line, or a combination of an area and line chart to visualize the data.

The table shows you the email data per team or owner, for each metric.

  • Click a column header to sort the owners or teams by the count of activities.
  • Click the value to view the emails in the right panel. You can click the activity in the right panel to access the associated record.
  • To view only certain owner's or team's tasks in the chart, select the checkbox next to the owner or team. You can select multiple owners or teams to compare their impact.
  • When viewing team metrics, click a team to view a breakdown of the users in that team.

Analyze all sales activities

You can analyze your sales team's productivity by all the different activities they had in a certain date range. By default, Owner will be selected and your calls data will be segmented by your HubSpot users.

  • If Owner is selected, you can click the Team dropdown menu and select a team to filter the data to. You can also click the Filter by dropdown menu and select to only show a certain number of assignees.
  • To view your sales activity data based on the HubSpot team, select Team.

  • The chart shows the count of each type of activity.

  • The table shows you the activity owners and their related activities.
    • Click a value to view the type of activities by that owner in the right panel. You can click the activity in the right panel to access the associated record.
    • To view only certain owner's or team's activities in the chart, select the checkbox next to the owner or team. You can select multiple owners or teams to compare their impact.
    • When viewing team metrics, click a team to view a breakdown of the users in that team.

Export or save the data as a report

In each tab, you can export the data:

  • On the right, click Export to export the data.
  • In the dialog box, enter the Name of your file and click the File format dropdown menu to select a format. Click Export.
  • The export file will be sent to your email address and can be downloaded in your notification center, accessed by clicking the notification icon in the top right.

You can also save the chart as a report in your reports list:

  • On the right, click Save as report.
  • In the dialog box, enter the Report name.
  • To add the report to a dashboard, click the Add to dashboard dropdown menu and select if you want to add it to an existing dashboard or create a new custom dashboard.
    • If you select Existing dashboard, click the Select existing dashboard dropdown menu and select the dashboard to add the report to.
    • If you select New custom dashboard, enter the Custom dashboard name and click the Visibility dropdown menu to select if the dashboard should be shared, shared but read only to others, or private to your own user.
  • Click Save & add.
